  • Describe common “scams” targeting people with cognitive impairment.
  • Articulate what healthcare providers can do to better identify and respond to their patients who are at risk of being victimized by these scams.
  • Describe the difficulties law enforcement and Adult Protective Services face in responding to scams targeting older adults, and some creative practices that are emerging to overcome them.
