By the end of this lecture, you should be able to:

  • Discuss with patients the importance and need of having hearing screened and/or tested as part of routine geriatric health maintenance
  • Identify and list at least three factors that play into successful hearing aid use
  • Identify and implement ways to better communicate with patients who have hearing loss in clinic
