Elizabeth A. Phelan, M.D., M.S., is a board certified physician and founder and director of the Fall Prevention Clinic at Harborview, co-director of the UW Center for Interdisciplinary Geriatric Research, associate director of the UW Health Promotion Research Center and affiliate investigator with the Group Health Research Institute. She is also a UW associate professor of Gerontology and Geriatric Medicine and adjunct associate professor of Health Services.

Dr. Phelan perceives herself to be a partner with patients in achieving their goals for health.

Dr. Phelan earned her M.D. at the UW. She has been awarded with the Paul Beeson Physician Faculty Scholars in Aging Research Program Award, the Pfizer/American Geriatrics Society Foundation for Health in Aging Postdoctoral Fellowship for Research on Health Outcomes in Geriatrics, and has been named the UW Department of Medicine’s Philip and Helen Fialkow Scholar.
