By the end of this lecture, you should be able to:

  • Consider the influence of aging on type 2 diabetes risk factors and prevalence
  • Identify safe and effective treatment goals and preferred therapeutic options for older adults with diabetes
  • Apply learning to cases of older adults with type 2 diabetes, creating an individualized treatment and monitoring plan
