Learning Objectives

By the end of this lecture, you should be able to:

  • Explain the continuum of neurocognitive aging
  • Describe research evidence for the effects of sleep, physical activity, and pleasant events for improving quality of life across the continuum of cognitive aging
  • Apply specific strategies for engaging older clients at all stages of cognitive function in interventions to improve sleep, maintain physical activity, and find meaning and joy in life
