Faculty Profile

Katherine (Kate) Bennett MD is the Medical Director for Project ECHO. She is a fellowship-trained geriatrician who practices in Harborview’s Senior Care Clinic, a community nursing home, and as an inpatient Geriatric Medicine Consultant and General Medicine ward attending. Her main focus is geriatrics education. She serves as the Associate Program Director for the Geriatric Medicine Fellowship and the Education Lead for the NW GWEC. She was drawn to geriatrics in high school when she worked as a Unit Assistant in a nursing home, developed a fascination for conditions common in older adults, a love for interactions with elders, and a passion for improving their care. She continues the value the relationships she builds with patients and families and the role she gets to play in helping older adults maintain their independence and maximize quality of life.
